The Lone Star state of Texas has everything you need. There is access to a large body of water to the south. The state has a neighboring border to another country and a lot of wide-open spaces. There are cultural centers and music centers and a lot to do on any given day of the week. In short, Texas is what is considered a destination location. It is a place where folks go to make the state their sole purpose for visiting because there is that much to do.

There is also a wide range of foreclosed properties available in the state of Texas so you are sure to find something that will reach out and grab you. There is everything from major pieces of real estate with acres of land to Gulf of Mexico vacation type properties on South Padre Island. Prices in Texas, like everything else in Texas will be a little larger than a comp might be elsewhere in the United States. But it is Texas and unless you go crazy with what you are willing to pay, when the market rebounds and the money again begins to flow into the real estate market you should not have any trouble getting your investment back along with a nice profit.

So the state of Texas is one of the few states that you can feel fairly safe with making an investment that will reap decent rewards with little chance of problems.
